Kyrgyz Polytechnic recently hosted a delegation from Lanzhou University of the People’s Republic of China, as part of the ongoing academic exchange between the two institutions. The visit was an important step in promoting international academic mobility. The meeting was attended by Cholpon Koichumanova, Director of the Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education, and members of the Lanzhou University delegation, including experts from the Institute of International Relations and the Institute of Central Asian Studies, such as Gao Wanni, Lu Weigo, Sun Xuwen, Li Liang, Mao Zi Yanping, and Liu Huying.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the objectives, topics, and structure of international academic mobility, and both sides explored opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation. They discussed the possibility of organizing teacher exchange programs in both online and offline formats. Additionally, negotiations were held regarding the publication of research articles by Kyrgyz Polytechnic faculty in Lanzhou University’s academic journal.
As part of the visit, a guest lecture was organized for students of the Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education, titled “The Role of Women in Society in China” and “The Great Silk Road and Central Asia.” The lecture provided students with valuable insights into China’s social and historical development, as well as the historical connections between China and Central Asia.
This exchange reflects the growing academic collaboration between Kyrgyz Polytechnic and Chinese institutions, aiming to strengthen ties, promote educational development, and foster a deeper understanding of regional and global history.
